The Somm Rioja is a premium Dominican cigar inspired by the famed Rioja wine region of northern Spain and its renowned Gran Reserva wines. Crafted at Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera under the direction of legendary blender Eladio Díaz, the blend showcases extensively aged tobaccos throughout. It features a four-year-aged Dominican Corojo wrapper, a three-year-aged Sumatra binder, and four different Dominican filler tobaccos aged between three and four years, creating a cigar built around maturity, balance, and refinement.

Medium-to-full in body, the Rioja delivers a layered profile of milk chocolate, oak, cedar, roasted nuts, baking spice, and white pepper. Throughout the smoke, the cigar evolves through distinct transitions, revealing notes of natural tobacco sweetness, cream, grain, earth, and subtle tannins reminiscent of a well-structured red wine. Rich without becoming overpowering, the Rioja combines complexity and elegance in a way that reflects both its wine-inspired roots and the craftsmanship of one of the Dominican Republic’s most respected factories.
