Such a decadent cigar! Molasses and chocolate throughout with supporting notes of black cherry, sweet earthiness, dark breadiness, some tanginess and minerality. Box worthy for me.

The El Pulpo by Artesano del Tobacco is a bold, full-flavored collaboration between Billy and Gus Fakih of Artesano del Tobacco and A.J. Fernandez, handcrafted in Nicaragua at the A.J. Fernandez factory. Translating to “The Octopus,” El Pulpo was created to wrap the palate in rich, layered flavor, using a dark Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The original release debuted in three box-pressed formats: Robusto Grande 5 x 56, Toro Grande 6 x 56, and Belicoso Grande 5 3/4 x 58, each packaged in 10-count boxes.
Full-bodied and deeply satisfying, El Pulpo delivers a dense profile of dark chocolate, espresso, earth, cedar, mixed pepper, mocha, and subtle sweetness from the San Andrés wrapper. The Nicaraguan core adds strength, structure, and spice, while the maduro wrapper brings richness and depth without flattening the blend. Powerful but balanced, El Pulpo is built for smokers who enjoy bold cigars with complexity, dark flavor, and a long, memorable finish.
