The Lampert Ocean Breeze is one of the most distinctive cigars in the Lampert portfolio, handcrafted at Tabacos de Costa Rica and inspired by the relaxed Costa Rican philosophy of Pura Vida. The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua, Peru, and an undisclosed origin, creating a medium-bodied smoking experience unlike anything else on the market.

What sets the Ocean Breeze apart is its unique mineral and saline character. Notes of cocoa, roasted almonds, cedar, leather, and cream are layered with a subtle salty quality that evokes its ocean-inspired name. As the cigar develops, flavors of honey, buttered pastry, coffee, and baking spice emerge, creating a smooth and evolving profile that remains balanced from start to finish. Refined yet approachable, the Ocean Breeze delivers a memorable smoking experience built around nuance rather than power.

Dessert cigar

Well packed, lightly resistive draw, great construction. It hits the num nums right from lightup with lightly-candied roasted almond, salty cashew, and hints of the way luxury black leather smells. The 2nd third roots it in a quintessential habano profile (mild black pepper, cedar, and light earthiness) with marzipan hints. Retrohale calls the salinity and leather up to the front with loads of sweet toasted cedar. Final third is where this cigar loses its wheels: bitter earth and burnt coffee masked the rest of the deliciousness underneath. Purging helps, but ultimately returned to unpleasant after a handful of draws. If you’re not smoking down to the last inch, consider this a 5 star cigar imo. If you typically do and this sounds like a profile you’d like to enjoy for an hour or more, maybe look at the toro – that’s where I’m going next.
